Visuals with Processing & Workshops

Processing is a tool free to use for developing ideas in an area that includes coding of images, animations and interaction. Processing was created in 2001 by Casey Reas and Ben Fry both coming from MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and was largely adopted by students, artists, designers that develop informatic applications in a strong visual context.

One of the Hotpixel's technologies for the creation of interactive visual systems for live shows were developed with this programming tool, as well like large size posters and some first multi-touch applications.

Hotpixel contributed on freeing this knowledge by giving workshops to students for some months or weeks. Josué Ibañez, co-founder of Hotpixel, made workshops in 2009 in the following festivals and institutions:
" Circuito Electrovisiones", "arsCite", "Ex-Teresa Arte Actual" (in collaboration with the group D-form and the Centre of Spanish Culture in Mexico), "Centro Cultural Border".
